Project Manager

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Enterprise Project Management Office, the Project Manager must determine, manage and evaluate the effectiveness of the financial, human and material resources required to enact the strategies and vision set forth by the organization. The incumbent typically manages projects of medium to high complexity and of uncertain business, technical, functional and operational risks that may have a strategic impact on the organization. More specifically, his/her tasks include:

  • Negotiate with other business areas in order to secure the material, human and financial resources required for the timely completion of each project.
  • Assess opportunities, impacts and risks and implement solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Determine activities required to complete projects, assign suitable resources and produce regular management reports for the appropriate review committees.
  • Monitor and control the quality of deliverables according to best practice standards and institute appropriate action plans to ensure projects are on schedule and within scope and budget.
  • Provide leadership and coaching by supporting team members and clearly communicating the Company's operating principles, guidelines and strategic orientation.
  • Assume all aspects of business relationships (internally and externally) with stakeholders.
  • Establish the optimal organizational structure for projects in order to ensure the right resources are in place to meet or exceed objectives
  • Communicate project progress to the appropriate review committee.


  • University degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • High political skills.
  • Leadership and ability to influence.
  • Good prioritization skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written.
  • A certification in project management will be considered an asset.
  • Work experience in the financial services industry will be considered an asset.
