Description:

To be successful in this role, the incumbent must take charge of development and test environment tools and management. They must have good knowledge of the organization’s systems, environments, development and testing tools, and business processes, as well as expertise in various lines of business and current technology and IT capabilities. The duties associated with this position mainly involve managing testing tools and test environments. The incumbent will:

  • Define and implement procedures and methods to be used to control the different development and test environments (platform, governance) and determine the optimal use of all tools. They will ensure compliance with procedures and methods and assess the development needs of the different Centres of Excellence.
  • Use their technical expertise to explain the importance and purpose of their technical choices in meeting the needs of the relevant tools and environments as they relate to the development and testing levels addressed.
  • Be responsible for the integrity and availability of the environment platforms, tools and licences, as well as any changes thereto.
  • Participate in developing infrastructure diagrams.
  • Designs and manage technical and application testing infrastructures, including saving/restoring execution contexts.
  • Masters the infrastructural differences between the development, test and production environments (e.g. performance tests).
  • Manages development/testing tools.
  • Administers and configures tools based on the defined testing processes and projects.
  • Guarantees the reliability and performance of the tools and environments and ensures they remain in good operating condition.
  • Participates in choosing and improving development and testing tools.
  • Stays abreast of the latest technological developments.
  • Defines and applies the procedures and methods used to manage environments.
  • Provides tools for managing testing data.
  • Provides indicators used to measure the SLA (Service Level Agreement).
  • Provides technical support for defining the development and testing strategy.
  • Uses proprietary development environments.
  • Provides training on tools and environments, if required.

Requirements

  • University degree, with eight (8) years of relevant experience managing testing tools and test environments.
  • Technical knowledge in IT, system architecture and infrastructure.
  • Mastery of development and testing tools (HP Quality Center).
  • Experience implementing and configuring development tools and tests.
  • Experience implementing processes and managing development and test environments.
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
