Description:

To be successful in this role, the incumbent must assist Project Managers with the control, coordination and monitoring of projects and related activities. He/she must also ensure the implementation, updating and monitoring of project management tools and relevant reports throughout each project. The incumbent participates in project management planning, ensures the best practices are followed and is able to work with limited supervision.

  • Updates and maintains project documents and project management tools and produces necessary reports to ensure effective project control.
  • Monitors project activities to ensure their scope and framework are respected. Provides information necessary for ensuring effective project control.
  • Produces, monitors and maintains project plans, ensuring adequate timeframes and resources for each project. Reports any potential problems to the Project Manager.
  • Actively participates as a team member throughout each project.
  • Maintains, verifies and analyzes risks, scope, costs, and timeline trends and provides action plans and recommendations for the resolution of issues to Project Managers.
  • Participates in the development of project management plans.
  • Ensures the appropriate financial controls are in place and applied correctly to projects.  
  • Plays a proactive role in the project management planning phase.
  • Can offer support and professional guidance to Analysts and Senior Analysts, Project Support.
  • Develops, implements and maintains controls to mitigate financial and operational risks. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Follows project methodologies implemented by the Project Office.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree, with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodology.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate and monitor activities.
  • Possesses good communication and persuasiveness.
  • Self-sufficient, rigorous and analytical.
