Senior Consultant, Methodologies ePMO

Description:

Reporting to the Manager Capacity & Portfolio Planning, you define, prepare and promote best practices in portfolio, program management, and project management. With the use of your leadership, you must work in collaboration and support resources involved in project management to increase the maturity level of the organization in term of PMO practices. Through your expertise and experience, you will also recommend innovative and efficient improvements of these methodologies and practices.

With regard to portfolio, programs and projects you must:

  • Act as the PMO ambassador in regards to the Standard Life best practice in your field of expertise.
  • Exercise leadership of influence and expertise in the field.
  • Develop, update, promote and communicate these methodologies.
  • Recommend innovative and efficient improvements and best practices to PMO management.
  • Support and coach the resources that use these methodologies.
  • Organize training for resources involved with these methodologies and tools. Train resources in the usage of the methodologies.
  • Ensure, through project reviews and other means, that the methodologies are appropriately used.
  • Ensure the efficiency of controls related to portfolio, programs and project methodologies.
  • Facilitate project risk identification and management.
  • Prepare templates, examples and guides to support methodologies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration.
  • Have at least 10 years experience in Project Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a role with exposure to Project Management, Program Management, software development quality assurance, agile and people change management.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification an asset.
  • Practical knowledge of Agile methods an asset.
  • Good knowledge of process analysis.
  • Good oral presentation and group training skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Bilingual, French and English, written and spoken.
