Senior Project Leader, Linguistic Services

The Senior Project Leader is an experienced reviser who is responsible for managing various projects and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must be multitasking oriented and aim to find a balance between quality and productivity while performing the following duties.

  • Analyze projects to manage them efficiently, given key factors such as the nature of the request, the complexity of the document, the required expertise and the word count.
  • Discuss any issues related to the project with the clients.
  • Prepare the project using translation tools to reduce production costs.
  • Revise or assign the document for translation to internal or external resources, based on their experience, skills, field of expertise and availability.
  • Follow-up on projects with clients and internal and external resources and respond to requests for terminology or related information throughout the mandate.
  • Ensure quality control of the finished product.
  • Revise work while giving translators constructive feedback.
  • Create terminology records and prepare glossaries and lexicons.
  • Contribute to expanding our network of external resources and building their loyalty.
  • Keep the Senior Team Leader up to date on activities and any problems that could interfere with the delivery of our services.


  • University degree in translation.
  • More than five years experience as a senior translator/reviser, preferably in the financial sector.
  • Five years experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of financial and insurance sector products.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize.
  • Team spirit and friendly approach.
  • Enthusiasm and desire to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to listen and excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility in dealing with urgent demands and last-minute changes.
  • Strong ability to manage stress.
  • Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience working with technological tools, such as translation software and online reference tools.
