Description:

As part of the national unit of the Small Business team, this role’s incumbent effectively drafts and amends Group insurance contractual documentation and proceeds with the implementation and amendment of New Business and Modification files in the various administration and claims platforms.  

By providing quality and timely services when drafting and amending contractual documentation and when implementing and amending Group Insurance solutions in various administration and claims platforms for new and existing clients, the business outcome of this team has a direct impact on sales objectives and profitability and retention targets for this segment of market. These functions contribute to strengthening relationships with clients and advisors.

  • Drafts and amends Group Insurance policies and booklets based on the plan design selected by the client and approved by the underwriting department, in accordance with the established turnaround time and quality standards.
  • Effectively proceeds with the implementation and amendment of New Business and Modification files  in the administration, claims and disability systems, with respect to the plan design and employee details and in accordance with the established turnaround time and quality standards.
  • Prepares the appropriate documentation to provide our external provider TELUS with complete plan design details for Health and Dental benefits and for Drug Card services on New Business and Modification files. Coordinates with TELUS to ensure such details are processed within the established turnaround time. 
  • Builds relationship with Advisors by interacting with them when necessary while processing New Business and contractual Modification files.
  • Proceeds with the implementation and the amendment of financial arrangement details for HSA and COST-PLUS agreements, with respect to claims, commissions, fees and particular taxes within the integrated administration system.
  • Reviews the various systems error messages to detect any inaccuracy of data.
  • Promotes team spirit, recognition and a positive attitude focused on customer service and Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS).
  • Identifies, implements and maintains controls to mitigate financial and operational risks. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or a related field, or college diploma (DCS) in Administration.
  • Two to three years' experience in group insurance or equivalent experience.
  • Professional title (HIAA, LOMA or CEBS) is a definite asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of the administration (Compass, VIP Room) and risk Disability Management system DCM. This includes billing parameters for all types of billing (regular, self-billed, financial arrangements ASO, HSA COST-PLUS and other products, such as ConsultAction).
  • Excellent knowledge of our provider TELUS’ claims platforms (InClaims, MBCM for Dental and Tandem Drug card).
  • Bilingual, french and english, written and spoken.
