Description:

The Senior Analyst, End-User-Computing (EUC), Customer Experience Support team is the driving force behind projects involving the development and maintenance of office automation tools used in the Customer Experience sector. The incumbent will also be responsible for user support activities for the existing desktop application portfolio.

Highly resourceful, the Senior Analyst must identify and analyze business needs and design and develop complete solutions (mini systems) using the office automation tools available. You will train and support the users of solutions in their daily tasks. As well, you must also demonstrate communication skills and focus on customer satisfaction in order to develop and maintain positive and constructive interactions with users and their supervisors. Working completely independently, using the Agile method of software development, you must also demonstrate flexibility, an open-minded approach and the ability to adapt quickly to problems and unexpected changes.

  • Gathers business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Analyze the identified business needs and demonstrate creativity and imagination in designing customized solutions to meet expectations.
  • Develop summary plans and projects. Assess the work and effort required to carry out each mandate. Propose realistic schedules that take the priorities related to pending and ongoing EUC requests into account.
  • Use IT tools such as MS-Access, MS-Excel, SQL, SQL Server, Visual Basic, HTML, etc., to carry out all steps involved in developing EUC applications with regard to the mandates received.
  • Conduct all necessary tests to ensure the systems and solutions developed are operating adequately. Correct any problems that arise prior to deployment.
  • Plan and carry out each step involved in deploying the systems and solutions developed, in accordance with the agreements established with decision-makers.
  • Provide support for all issues surrounding the operational teams' use of the EUC systems and office automation tools. Investigate the issues raised to determine causes. Work in a proactive manner to develop alternatives and effective solutions to resolve the issues.
  • Act as a technical specialist with the users of office automation tools within the Company. Share knowledge and provide tips and advice about MS-Office tools when necessary.
  • Design, develop and execute a variety of reports and data retrieval operations from administrative systems in order to meet information needs. 
  • Occasionally participate in initiatives and special projects.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration, with 2 years of relevant experience, or a technical (CEGEP) degree in a related field, with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Developing EUC desktop applications
    • Computer projects in an IT team
    • Customer service in an insurance-related field
  • In-depth knowledge of office automation programming tools, such as Microsoft Office (MS-Excel, MS-Access), SQL Server, SQL, VBA, HTML.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management, the development life cycle of a PC application, and office automation programming.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills (French/English).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, creative, independent and resourceful.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of insurance and group savings and retirement products would be a major asset.
  • Knowledge of data modeling concepts would be considered an asset.
