Actuarial Consultant in Pricing of Annuities and Term Deposits

Description:

The Actuarial Consultant will develop, recommend and implement spread products pricing strategy, actual pricing and financial analysis to ensure greatest profit and financial soundness in the long run. Respect the company pricing and risk policy. Evolve in line with changing market conditions and remain appropriate for each market segment.

  • Perform the necessary tasks related to the pricing for spread products. Comply with pricing guidelines and adapt new profitability measure.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate tools/models for pricing.
  • Produce risk assessment and profitability reports (RAPRs).
  • Responsible for the Asset Liability Management (ALM). Including daily rate changes.
  • Monitor profitability/spread on a weekly basis.
  • Involve in the production of Special Quotes for Spread products. These Special Quotes must be completed in a timely manner while respecting the pricing (profit and any financial target and constraint) and business plan.
  • Perform competitive research activities to identify market needs and emerging product trends, from a pricing point of view. Monitor and identify changing market trends, competitors positioning and participate in the recommendation of appropriate action to ensure that we maintain our strategic position according to plan and risk appetite.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Actuarial studies, Mathematics or related fields.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in pricing or in a similar role.
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation is considered an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the different actuarial and financial economics calculation techniques.
  • Good knowledge of the following programming languages and software: EXCEL, VBA and Axis.
  • Good Knowledge of financial markets.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements, fiscal environment and actuarial standards of practice applicable to insurance companies.
  • Bilingual, French and English, written and spoken.
