Senior Consultant, Quality Assurance

The candidate is an expert in quality assurance and control. As such, he/she will help define and implement best practices in quality assurance (QA), provide QA coaching, and oversee the QA audit process.

  • Participate in planning the quality assurance process and in monitoring progress (excellent knowledge of QA-QC, best practices and what is done in other organizations is required). In this regard, the candidate will share some responsibilities with his/his colleague, but will be in charge of the entire SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and how it interacts with other processes (e.g., project management).
  • Help develop and adjust QA templates (test strategy, test plan, follow-up dashboard, etc.).
  • Provide mentoring and advice on QA processes and best practices.
  • Ensure the efficiency and improvement of QA management systems and procedures. For instance, the candidate will be responsible for the proper usage of the HP-QC tool.
  • Be responsible for the internal and external audit process. Participate in the detailed review of QA deliverables as part of the audits.
  • Work closely with QA resources and occasionally even clients to determine corrective and preventive measures and solve quality-related issues.
  • Guide discussions on test automation.


  • University degree in software engineering, IT, or any other relevant field, with eight (8) years of relevant experience in implementing QA best practices, dealing with QA issues in complex environments, developing IT systems, and managing system and/or automation tests.
  • Knowledge of QA. Quality assurance certification (QAI, ASQ, ISQBT) is considered an asset.
  • Mastery of the HP Quality Center tool and QTP.
  • Very good knowledge of automation tools and programming languages is an asset. Experience in developing automated scripts is also an asset.
  • Good knowledge of new technologies (mobile platforms, cloud computing and collaborative media).
  • Bilingual, French and English, written and spoken.
