Consultant, Project Support

Description:

**This is a one-year contract.**

To be successful in this role, the Consultant must provide support to Project Managers regarding project control, coordination, follow-up and all relevant activities. Ensures the implementation, update and follow-up of project management tools and reporting throughout each project. Participates in project planning and management, applies best practices and can work under minimal supervision.

  • Updates and maintains project documents and project management tools and produces the reports necessary to ensure effective project control.
  • Monitors project activities to ensure their scope and framework are respected. Provides appropriate information to ensure effective project control.
  • Produces, monitors and maintains project plans, ensuring appropriate timeframes and resource allocation for each project. Reports any potential derailers to the Project Manager.
  • Actively involved as a team member throughout duration of a given project.
  • Maintains, verifies and analyzes risk, scope, cost and timeline trends; provides action plans and recommendations for resolving issues to Project Managers.
  • Ensures appropriate controls and financial measures are in place and applied correctly for each project.
  • Plays an active role in planning project management.
  • Follows project methodologies implemented by the Project Office.
  • Participates in the development of project management plans.
  • Has good communication and influencing skills.
  • Can offer support and professional advice to Project Support Analysts and Senior Analysts.
  • Identifies, implements and maintains controls to mitigate financial and operational risks. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
