Sustaining business growth


Our business development team actively promotes our investment products and help Canadians meet their financial goals. They support a community of planners, brokers, and general agent clients by advising them on our retail products such as segregated funds, mutual funds, term funds, and annuities. Doing so, they help us expand our business and achieve our sales targets. Over the years, we have built an enviable reputation for our professionalism, high-quality offering, constructive marketing advice and knowledge of our clients’ business. 

With your wealth of experience and expertise in Money and Investment products, you contribute to our regional and national objectives by growing sales and assets under management for Standard Life, in accordance with our retail strategy and business plan. To achieve these objectives, you support targeted financial advisors and provide them with timely and accurate information. You aim to establish long lasting relationships with an expanding network of dedicated sales professionals in a global company with a Canadian head office in Montreal. Ultimately, you help our clients formulate investment strategies that fulfill their needs and goals, and that gives you the greatest satisfaction.

Your contribution:

  • Develop partnerships with targeted financial advisors (MFDA, IIROC, GA).
  • Work in coordination with the Inside Consultant assigned to the territory to service prospects.
  • Support the practices of advisors in our target market through Business Consultancy service and added value services.
  • Achieve sales, asset retention, and meeting targets.
  • Provide input/feedback to product managers through the Sales Manager on product design features for development, relevant competitor positioning and training required.

 Your background:

  • University degree in a relevant business discipline
  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience
  • Canadian Securities or Mutual Fund Course
  • Financial Planner or Industry designation (i.e. CFP, CLU, CIM, FCSI, CFA), an asset
