Our team of Group Insurance underwriting professionals contributes to our growth and profitability by evaluating the risks and setting adequate for our current and prospecting clients. They work in close collaboration with colleagues, brokers, consultants and sales representatives, etc. to review new or existing applications for insurance coverage.
We provide the support and training that will set you on the right path. You will then feel comfortable to establish relationships with our sales team and participate, occasionally, in client and intermediary meetings to gather valuable information. Working in collaboration with your colleagues, you will contribute to meet our customers’ satisfaction and our group sales objectives.
Selectively quotes, primarily, the smaller group market, non-refund and prospectively rated accounts.
Involved in the implementation of new groups, ensuring benefits and terms are compatible with what was quoted.
Annually renews in-force business in line with profitability and retention objectives.
Communicates and negotiates with Group Insurance Sales personnel in an effective and timely manner.
Monitors the marketplace and contributes to the evolution of underwriting guidelines.
University degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience, or technical degree related to maths (actuary, economics, business administration, commerce, etc.) with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Bilingual, French and English, written and spoken
